Kim Stevenson founded The Autonomous Collections a few years ago with a clear and thoughtful ideal in mind inspired by her experiences of extreme weather and global warming growing up in her native city Geelong, Australia.
Kim and her team hand make all of the products in their studio in East London ensuring each garment has its own unique characteristic. They believe fashion should represent the uniqueness and originality of the individual wearing it.
After graduating with a first in Fashion Design at UEL and showing at Graduate Fashion Week, Kim was shortlisted for competitions and showcased her collections with London Ethnic.
Kim then went on to win Fashion Scout's, Ones to Watch Award where Kim presented her AW2015 collection at London Fashion Week.
The Autonomous Collections have been called the top 5 ethical brand pics by judges Hillary Alexander and
Vogue India's editor Bandana Tewari for the Ethical Fashion Forum.
